As a clinical nurse specialist in Uro-Neurology, you will be responsible for assessing patients attending the Uro-Neurology Department and developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of continence care for them. You will be providing a high standard of care and supporting junior nurses, student nurses, and others as appropriate.
With training, you will be carrying out nurse-led clinics to manage a caseload of patients in relation to bladder, bowel, and sexual function. These clinics will include sacral nerve modulation, urodynamics, transcutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, intermittent self-catheterisation, and more. You will be a resource to the hospital, taking referrals from inpatient wards and responding to patient calls and emails.
You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team and will be expected to attend regular meetings and develop collaborative working relationships with other practitioners with the aim of providing the best possible care to our patients. You will ensure compliance with our quality and safety agenda and motivate colleagues to drive continuous improvement.
As a senior member of the uro-neurology nursing team, you will be providing advice and support to colleagues within the specialty.
