Main duties of the job

• In partnership with members of the multidisciplinary team the postholder will be involved in the care and management of rheumatologypatients on Biologics.? They will ensure patients receive the highest standard of clinical carethrough a patient-focused initiation programme.? As a nursing expert the post holder will demonstrate a high level ofexpertise within the Rheumatology team, providing advice, educationand support to staff, patients, their families and carers.? The post holder will have an understanding of the use of biologics inInflammatory conditions as well as connective tissue disorders.? The post holder will have the ability to run day case clinics as well asmanage biologics prescriptions.? The post holder will measure and monitor the biologics implementationpathway.? The post holder will actively undertake and participate in clinical auditand service evaluation within Rheumatology as required.? The post holder is responsible for contributing to the ongoingdevelopment of clinical practice, standards of care within therheumatology service including the development of policies, procedures,protocols and guidelines.
