A healthcare provider is seeking a Clinical Lead for the mental health team at HMP Haverigg. The role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team, managing patient care, and ensuring quality evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate will have professional nursing registration and extensive experience dealing with patients with complex needs. This full-time position offers a salary between £46,148 and £52,809 annually.
Job summary
HMP Haverigg is a CAT D prison, working pre-dominantly with sex-offenders. The prison has just received excellent outcomes from both the HMIP, and the CQC. The mental health team is well-established, offers a variety of interventions to the client group, including Trauma therapy, EMDR, groupwork. We are innovative, compassionate and supportive of each other, working for a great team, in a wonderful part of the country.
Main duties of the jobThe main duty of the job is to be the clinical lead for the mental health team, leading on professional development and ensuring the delivery of robust evidence-based practice.
The successful candidate, will hold a caseload of patients with complex needs, providing nurse-led diagnosis, and treatment planning
It is anticipated the post holder will be an NMP, (independent prescriber) or being willing to work on this within the first year in post.
About usHaverigg has a well-established, and multi-skilled mental health team, we offer a variety of primary, and secondary care interventions. The nurse led team consists of Psychological well-being practitioners, health and well-being coaches, mental health nurses, a nurse consultant, psychologist, counsellors and trauma therapists.
