R2 is a high-paced, acute 37-bed medical telemetry unit that provides exceptional care to a diverse and complex adult medical patient population, with a focus on Stroke patients. MMC is recognized by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and the R2 team is proud to be integral in caring for this patient population.
Our clinical nursing team includes bright, innovative professionals committed to upholding the highest nursing and care standards. Nurses, patient care technicians, and CNAs on the team demonstrate strong analytical skills to identify patient needs, risks, and interventions. We provide excellent customer service to patients and families at their current health states and learning abilities. As a team, we exemplify exceptional communication skills, effectively interacting and problem-solving with healthcare professionals, hospital administration, patients, and families.
This is a per diem day shift opportunity.
Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission, vision, and values by demonstrating excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. In accordance with national nursing standards and hospital policies, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care. Care delivery begins at initial contact with the healthcare system and may continue across the continuum, including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
