P6 (Pavilion 6) is a 21-bed Inpatient Psychiatry unit at Maine Medical Center. It has evolved from a traditional psychiatric unit to serve a medically complex population with an emphasis on Geriatric Psychiatry. All patients on P6 have both a major psychiatric illness and medical comorbidities requiring inpatient care. We welcome applicants from those new to Psychiatry to experienced professionals. Staff will float between units to provide expert care.

Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care, in accordance with national standards and hospital policies.
