Job summary

NHS Lothian is seeking an inspiring Clinical Nurse Manager (Band 8a) to lead the Midlothian Vaccination Service and CTAC Service. The role carries overarching clinical leadership and operational responsibility with collaboration across General Practice, the HSCP, and NHS Lothian corporate teams.

You will guide governance, workforce development, and strategy to deliver high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in a dynamic community setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with master's degree or equivalent.
• Senior leadership experience at Band 7 or above in a complex healthcare setting.
• Experience in community nursing or vaccination programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and clinical leadership across two services.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery, capacity planning and performance management.
• Ensure clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management.
• Line management and mentorship to Team Leaders and nursing staff.
• Lead design and implementation of the CTAC model and service resilience.
