An established industry player is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager to lead their Gynaecology Service. This role involves overseeing service development and ensuring safe clinical practices across acute and outpatient settings. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the service, which includes subspecialty nursing roles and a newly built inpatient ward. The Women’s, Children’s and Clinical Services Directorate seeks to appoint a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Gynaecology Service. The successful candidate will oversee leadership and service development across both acute and outpatient services at our two hospital sites.
We require a dedicated clinical leader with extensive experience at AfC band 7. The role involves service development, with evidence of continued professional development and education. The post holder will ensure the delivery of safe, effective clinical practice, adhering to all local and national guidelines and targets.
Our modern and progressive service includes subspecialty nursing roles in Gynae Oncology, Colposcopy, Urogynae, Infertility, Menopause, Early Pregnancy, and Termination of Pregnancy, alongside inpatient and 24-hour emergency gynae ward services. The postholder will lead further improvements and developments within the Gynaecology service.
The service has benefited from significant infrastructure investments, including a purpose-built inpatient gynaecology ward in 2023 and a new outpatient unit at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, opening in March 2025.
Fife, situated on Scotland’s east coast between Edinburgh and Dundee, offers rich history, scenic attractions, and renowned golf courses. Key towns include Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, and St Andrews, Scotland’s oldest university town and home to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. The East Neuk fishing villages and Fife Coastal Path provide excellent recreational opportunities.
