Clinical Nurse - Inflammatory Bowel Disease Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Nurse Specialist to join our established Nurse Specialist Team at Ipswich Hospital.

Our dedicated Nurse Specialists provide an excellent, patient focused service to support and manage patients with a diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease. This service is forward thinking and continually reviews and develop innovative models of care to ensure patients are provided with appropriate and timely treatment.

The ideal person would have recent IBD /gastroenterology nursing experience with a strong motivation and dedication to develop themselves and the service.If you would like to join our friendly, well established team and deliver a high quality service to our patients, we want to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will provide clinical expertise and support to patients, their family and carers. You will ensure safe delivery and continuing of patient care by co-ordinating them through their patient pathway.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, liaising with health care teams both internal and external to the organisation.

You will provide an advice line service so that patients can access expert advice in a timely manner.

You will have had experience of working on your own initiative and prioritising workload, as well as having excellent communication skills.

Experience
