Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Harrogate, part of Cygnet Health Care Limited, is seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to lead nursing teams across two acute wards. The role involves on-call duties and close collaboration with the Hospital Manager to deliver high-quality mental health care.

You will supervise clinicians, ensure policy adherence, and drive evidence-based practice while maintaining regulatory standards in a challenging, rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• An experienced RMN/RNLD with a valid pin number and at least four years’ nursing experience.
• Currently working as a Clinical Manager or Ward Manager or have significant experience in a Senior Nursing role.
• Strong leadership & clinical skills, as well as compliance & regulatory knowledge.
• Excellent relationship management with internal & external stakeholders.
• Experience in an acute, rehabilitation, mental health or forensic psychiatry setting.
• Evidence of functioning in a supervisory role within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest standard of clinical care is provided.
• Coordinate all clinical aspects of the hospital & ensure cooperation between clinicians.
• Know & implement all relevant policies, procedures & regulations.
• Update legal documentation in line with company guidelines, NMC guidelines, legislation & current research.
• Support staff through regular appraisals, training & development of evidence/research-based practice.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory law & compliance.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager to resolve concerns & provide cohesive leadership.
• Act up as required by the Hospital Manager.

Your day-to-day...
