Job summary

UCL in London seeks a high-potential general practitioner to pursue a four-year post-doctoral training programme in prevention and public health. You will develop a coherent research plan and build a leadership profile as an independent researcher and educator.

The appointment is fixed-term, with eligibility for NHS GP Performers List, and involves collaboration across primary care networks and NIHR-funded projects. Interviews planned for late January 2027.

Qualifications

• GP vocational training completed and eligible for NHS GP Performers List.
• MRCGP or equivalent qualification.
• PhD/MD thesis submitted and awarded by the start deadline.

Responsibilities

• Develop a coherent programme of research in primary care prevention and public health.
• Act as educator and leader, contributing to teaching and supervision.
• Collaborate with NIHR/IEHC networks and external funding opportunities.
