Job description

Role Overview
  1. The post holder will provide clinical and operational leadership into the YJS and Complex Senior Pathway Lead in B&D CAMHS Service.
  2. Lead operations for the B&D Youth Justice Service and Complex Pathway, collaborating closely with the Senior B&D CAMHS Management Team.
  3. Provide managerial and clinical leadership while contributing to service development, referral management, and fostering interagency collaboration.
  4. Undertake highly specialist assessments to contribute to clinical leadership and oversight for mental health assessments and interventions within the YJS and Complex Pathway, formulating areas of strengths and needs based on best practice and evidence.
  5. Conduct thorough assessments to identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  6. Provide operational and clinical leadership to the YJS and Complex Pathway for children and young people in B&D CAMHS Service.
  7. Deliver a high-quality, accessible, timely, efficient, and comprehensive psychological service for referred children, adolescents, their carers, and families.
  8. Support evidence-based assessments and psychological interventions, including multi-disciplinary assessments and ensuring waiting lists are at safe, clinical levels.
  9. Support and deputise for other pathways and pathway leads within the B&D CAMHS Service.
Additional Information

Starting with NELFT

New starters will join on the first Monday of each month, undergoing a comprehensive induction lasting up to two weeks, including mandatory and systems training, equipment allocation, and engagement sessions with the executive team and senior managers. Inductions are held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post is subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt unless they are currently partway through a probation or are bank staff.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This role attracts a 15% supplement of the basic salary (minimum £4,551; maximum £5,735 per annum, pro-rata).
