Job overview

We are seeking applications for a Band 7 Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist passionate about supporting children and young people in special schools.

The role involves speech, language, and communication assessment and intervention for children and young people with an EHCP.

The postholder will lead service development efforts for specific areas within the Children's Speech and Language Therapy service and will supervise clinical practice in their specialist area.

Main duties of the job

We seek a dynamic Speech and Language Therapist with excellent communication skills to join our Children's Community Speech and Language Therapy team. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, leading service development, and supervising team members.

The postholder will collaborate closely with team members, including junior staff, providing leadership, supervision, and delegation. Experience working with children and young people in special schools and leading quality improvement projects is required.

Applicants must have a Speech and Language Therapy degree, be registered with the HCPC, and have relevant experience. Driving and access to a car are essential.
