We are currently seeking an experienced Prosthetist Clinical Lead who islooking for an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our largeand dynamic team in Cambridge.

The role will involve working with a complex clinical case load andtherefore clinical expertise in at least one area of prosthetics is essential,but there will also be opportunities to develop into different specialities.The role holder will be instrumental in managing the prosthetic

clinical team and providing support and insight to the technical teamand wider NHS MDT to advance and improve the delivery of the service.

The role holder will be an integral member of the senior clinical team withinOpcare and will provide mentoring support to less experienced prosthetists,graduates, and students.

Some of the key responsibilities the role holder will haveresponsibility for

Line management of the Prosthetics clinical team

Reporting responsibilities with regards to deliveryof the service in line with NHS and internal key performance indicators

Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for allpatients and the smooth running of the service

Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams MDTs across Cambridgeshire and the wider Trust including Surgeons and Consultants.

Share yourknowledge and experience with junior colleagues and offer mentorship tograduates and students.

Helpcoordinate and contribute to in service training sessions.

The role holder will be a registered Prosthetist that can supportdevelopment and service improvements for the betterment of patients in thecounty of Cambridgeshire.

The successful candidate will join anenthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional, and nationaltraining to develop their clinical and managerial skills to support theservice. We aim to deliver a first class service for users whilst applying themost advanced and exciting clinical and technical solutions available topatients.

There is a complexmix of Adult and Paediatric MDTs and extended practice clinics which provide agreat opportunity to be exposed to interesting and varied caseloads.

Onsite at Cambridge, we work closelywith the gait lab team, specialist physiotherapists and orthopaedic surgeonsfor surgical and medical planning pathways for paediatric and adult amputees.

Alongside the specialist clinics, therole leads and supports the day to day delivery of prosthetic services withinthe county. There is opportunity to work across company networks and groupsincluding 3D manufacturing, scanning and clinical governance projects.
