HMP Hull is a Local Category B prison, and we are looking for additional Clinical Leads to provide mental health care to patients. This role involves assessment and caseload management within a stepped care model, including comprehensive assessments, communicating treatment options, initiating care plans, and providing evidence-based interventions alongside a multidisciplinary team.
You will collaborate with internal and external partners, including healthcare providers, prison colleagues, social care providers, and probation services. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential.
Main duties of the job
You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist. You should have a flexible approach and encourage new ideas to improve services.
You need experience providing compassionate mental health care and understanding of the criminal justice system. You will assess needs, provide interventions, and contribute to discharge planning, requiring strong coordination and decision-making skills based on health and risk assessments.
You should be innovative, flexible, and able to engage patients with complex needs, committed to a person-centred approach, and able to prioritize effectively.
