The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Lead Practitioner for a fixed-term role in T&O Theatres. This position involves managing and leading a dynamic team to ensure the highest standards of patient care while maintaining budget and compliance. Band 7 Clinical Lead Practitioner (T&O Theatres)
**This is a fixed-term/secondment opportunity for 9 months to cover maternity leave**.

This is a great opportunity to join a motivated and dynamic team in the T&O Theatre department.
The T&O theatre department consists of two designated Trauma theatres and a unique ring-fenced Elective Orthopaedic and Spinal unit holding a further four theatres and recovery.
We deliver excellent patient experience and quality of care, with patient safety at the forefront of our practice and we are looking for a committed and driven individual who is innovative and motivated to continue to move the service forward. Knowledge and experience within T&O is vital to fulfil this role.
Working alongside a Senior Band 7 you will be expected to work within your budget, maintaining safe staffing levels and skill mix, whilst providing excellent care for our patients.
You would be expected to maintain a presence in the clinical environment, working with team leaders to ensure the operating lists run smoothly and efficiently, as well as the managerial aspects of the role.
You will need to exhibit high standards of practice and performance and be committed to ensuring compliance. You will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills throughout the multidisciplinary team and be confident in decision-making.
Responsible for the management, clinical leadership and overseeing a team of professionally registered nurses and ODP's, HCA's and support staff within the clinical specialty.
Ensure the delivery of an excellent service to patients on a 24-hour basis.
Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including clinicians, support services and other speciality leads to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
Responsible for supporting the Lead nurse and Matron for Theatres and Anaesthetics with continuous service improvements and initiatives.
Working to ensure team engagement across all specialities.
Manage people and financial resources within the specialty to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
Work with the Directorate management to ensure delivery and compliance with key performance indicators and performance targets, whilst actively promoting the Trust values.
Display excellent communication and leadership skills, and be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the team.
