There is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team as the Clinical Lead for Specialist Medicine at King’s College Hospital. This is a full-time position based at the Denmark Hill site, requiring some weekend work. The post holder will oversee physiotherapy services across the Cardiac, Liver, Renal, Haem-oncology, and Surgery specialties.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will ensure a high-quality, effective, and efficient physiotherapy service for the Specialist Medicine wards covering the specified specialties.
They will manage and supervise the Band 7 Team Lead through structured appraisals, meetings, and peer support. The post holder will use their expert physiotherapy knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning to manage a highly complex clinical caseload and support the development of team members and the wider service.
They will be part of the Physiotherapy Clinical Leadership team, contributing to planning and service development within King’s. As Clinical Lead, they will present at internal and external forums and deputise for the Head/Deputy Head of Physiotherapy as needed.
The post holder will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting and advancing the role of Physiotherapy within Cardiac, Liver, Renal, Haematology, and Surgery departments.
