Position

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Clinical Lead Physiotherapist based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What you will do:

Working within the pan-Ayrshire physiotherapy LD service, you will clinically lead the North community LD physiotherapy team and have a highly specialist, clinical role treating adults with learning disabilities and complex physical health conditions. Working in community, outpatient and inpatient services across localities, you will act as a physical expert within LD services and lead service developments and education provision to physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams across all of Ayrshire and Arran.

You will be passionate about the role Physiotherapy plays in the lives of people with learning disabilities, and will be expected to contribute to relevant groups at local and national level.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will demonstrate extensive clinical experience in a range of physiotherapy specialities, and have qualifications / experience and/or a proven interest within the field of learning disabilities including a good level of physical fitness and water confidence to run rebound and hydrotherapy sessions.

Hours:

up to 37 hours per week. Full time, part time and job share applications considered- please indicate on your application your intended request.
