NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, part time position of 18.5 hours.
The shift pattern for this position is to be confirmed.
The CAMHS OT Clinical Lead role has responsibility for the day-to-day organisation and leadership of the clinical contribution from Occupational Therapy into the Tier 3 North CAMHS Team which includes both specific Occupational Therapy clinical work, supervision of junior OT staffing and contribution to the generic mental health team tasks. This post is line managed by the Clinical Co-ordinator with professional supervision and ongoing support provided by the Professional Lead Occupational Therapist.
Within SCS OT Service in GGC we pride ourselves on ensuring that we are delivering a safe, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centred Occupational Therapy Service which is sustainable into the future which requires leads with vision and innovation as well as sound knowledge of Occupational Therapy with children and young people and or mental health as well as clear knowledge of the strategic national drivers and evidenced based practice.
The CAMHS OT Clinical Leads are pivotal in shaping and delivering the Occupational Therapy service for the future. At this exciting time of transformation and development we require a candidate who is a dedicated professional, highly motivated, organised, can be flexible and embrace change, has a passion for leading and developing others and who has a proven track record of high clinical standards.
Training, professional supervision and support will be offered to develop and enhance clinical specialism and managerial responsibilities & duties; for example in clinical governance, project management, team building and communication skills.
A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential for the post. The candidate will have considerable post graduate experience, including significant experience of working within OT. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
