Job summaryWe are looking for innovative and proactive occupational therapist who have experience of providing occupational focused assessment and interventions for individuals with mental health conditions, including severe mental illness. They will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and the capacity to develop good working relationships across the whole city. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a real commitment and compassion for working with this client group and across a diverse population.
Main duties of the job- To manage a caseload of clients with complex needs within secure hospital facility using specialist Occupational Therapy skills and evidence based /client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
- To be part of the on site senior leadership team and provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal.
- To provide supervision of Occupational Therapy Students on practice placement.
To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services within a designated area/team, holding responsibility for defined projects
