Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group is seeking a Clinical Lead in Greater London to drive clinical governance and lead nursing teams with compassion and dedication. You will model best practice, support residents, and ensure safety and dignity in care delivery.

Join our team to mentor staff, oversee medications, and collaborate with GPs and MDTs, while maintaining high standards of governance and safeguarding in a busy care home environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing qualification recognised by the UK NMC.
• Valid UK NMC PIN and registration to practise as RN/RNLD/RMN.
• Experience leading clinical/care teams and managing team performance.
• Good understanding of clinical policy frameworks.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and some bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Home Manager with administrative duties and nursing tasks.
• Maintain responsibility of nursing/care management and care governance in the absence of the Home Manager, including acting as Nurse in charge.
• Medication administration and care plan quality.
• Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to residents.
• Ensure resident safety and implement safeguarding policies.
• Team management and shift planning.
• Coaching, training and mentoring.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Liaising with GPs and Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
• Assist Home Manager with inspections and visits as required.
• Uphold clinical governance standards and lead governance meetings.

As an advocate for our residents, you will play a crucial role in leading clinical teams to provide and maintain the highest standards of nursing and care, while supervising colleague training and performance. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Assisting the Home Manager and/or Deputy Manager with administrative duties as well as nursing/care tasks
• Maintaining overall responsibility of nursing/care management and care governance in the absence of the Home manager, including working as Nurse in charge.
• Medication administration andCare plan quality
• Providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to our residents
• Ensuring resident safety and implementing safeguarding policies
• Team management and shift planning
• Coaching, training and mentoring
• Infection prevention and control

A few things will be essential to be successful in this role, and these are:

• A Nursing qualification recognised by the UK NMC
• A valid UK NMC PIN and registration to practice as Registered General Nurse(RGN)/Learning & Disability Nurse (RNLD)/Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
• Previous experience leading clinical/care teams and managing team performance
• Good understanding of clinical policy frameworks
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as assisting residents with their mobility
• Flexibility to work different shifts and a proportion of Bank Holidays, as necessary
