Main duties of the job

The post holder will be jointly accountable for the overall performance of the speciality teams in delivering national and local health care priorities, ensuring clinical quality, patient safety, and improving patient experience.

The Clinical Lead will work closely with their Clinical Director and in a team comprising Service and General Managers, and Senior nurses. As part of this team, the post holder will be responsible for delivering services against standards for quality, safety, activity, financial management, and workforce. The Clinical Lead will demonstrate strong partnership working and collaboration with other senior leaders.

The Clinical Lead will foster a culture of learning and innovation, aligning with education and research. They will work with leadership teams across the Trust to promote good performance, address poor performance, and support staff in resolving concerns. They will model the attitudes and behaviors of a senior clinical leader, aligning with the Trust's values to improve health, reduce inequalities, and promote equality among staff and patients.
