Job description

The Clinical Mental Health Lead / Deputy of a Barchester Hospital will work closely with the Hospital Director, taking on leadership duties in their absence. The role involves providing clinical leadership across the hospital, ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation, and delivering against quality key performance indicators. It is a demanding but rewarding role, requiring management and Mental Health Nursing experience, natural leadership skills, and the ability to balance budgets and develop strategies while providing excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

As the Clinical Mental Health Lead / Deputy, you will be responsible for ensuring each patient's complex care needs are met by your team. You will have responsibility for balancing budgets and developing strategies, while always finding time for the people in your care. This is a demanding, but incredibly rewarding role at Barchester, which may require occasional weekend, bank holiday, and out-of-hours working, as well as participation in an on-call rota. You will make a real difference to the lives of patients with complex mental health needs, and to team members who are looking to develop their careers.
