Job summary

Barchester Healthcare in Uckfield is seeking a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead to support the General Manager and lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high‑quality care and improved resident wellbeing. You’ll monitor standards, run audits and ensure regulatory compliance to achieve outstanding care outcomes.

You’ll be an RN/RMN with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring qualification, with HR experience, budget awareness and safeguarding expertise.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification.
• Experience managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and audit standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead in absence of GM.
• Set standards, audits and regulatory compliance.
• Support resident quality of life and care standards.
• Mentor and support newly qualified nurses.
