Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician to join our well-established MHSOP community services as a Clinical Lead. The new post will be based within the Broxtowe integrated team. The post holder will support robust clinical management of complex cases within both services, working with all team members, attending weekly MDT meetings, and complex case reviews.

The Clinical Lead is expected to manage high-risk cases and support clinicians with challenging cases. The post holder will lead and contribute to the clinical development of the CMHT/IHTT service, driving clinical transformation and pathway innovations across the community mental health team.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality case supervision and training, ensuring consistent assessments and interventions. They will participate in developing evidence-based practices, driving continuous improvement, and embedding innovative approaches. The ideal candidate will have excellent management and leadership skills with advanced knowledge of older adults’ mental health issues.

In collaboration with the Team Leader & ACP, the post holder will lead, monitor, and evaluate clinical practice, supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, patient-centered care and providing senior clinical leadership.

The role involves highly specialized assessments for a diverse patient group, including initiating interventions and prescribing medication for those with significant mental health and complex emotional needs. The post includes complex case management within the CMHT, including high-risk cases.

The candidate must have strong managerial skills and understanding of older adults’ mental health, with the ability to assess needs and develop treatment plans within a multidisciplinary framework.

Please note: Applicants are required to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from salary following appointment. The DBS application cost is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced). The applicant is encouraged to enroll in the DBS Update Service, with an annual fee of £16.
