Why Us
Illumina are the global leaders in the development and application of next generation DNA sequencing technology, with 90% of the world’s NGS DNA sequencing data created on Illumina’s platforms. The ILS (Illumina Laboratory Services) team in Cambridge applies Illumina’s core sequencing technology to large scale, high throughput (HTP) sequencing initiatives such as the Genomic Medicine Service, an initiative that delivers Whole Genome Sequencing into routine healthcare in partnership with Genomics England and the NHS. ILS UK are now actively seeking a talented Laboratory Supervisor to support bringing the power of the genome to human health.

The role
As a Laboratory Supervisor you will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the WGS production service. You will provide line management to the clinical laboratory technicians, schedule daily work across the team working at two key locations in the Cambridge area to ensure customer KPIs are met. You will attend cross functional meetings that support hitting production targets whilst maintaining high ISO 15189 standards in the work performed and compliance with EH&S requirements across the team.
