This role is open-ended (permanent) and full-time (35 hours per week).

The salary for this post is at Grade UE07: £40,497to £48,149per annum.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Relevant experience in laboratory management, including overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and managing resources within a laboratory environment.
  • Strong expertise in Health and Safety and Quality Management Systems, with a proven track record of maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting internal/external audits.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work culture.
  • Outstanding organisational and problem-solving abilities, with experience managing multiple priorities, optimising workflows, and supporting service development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with technical staff, academic colleagues, clinicians, and external clients.
