Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post-holder will be managerially accountable to the Clinical Lead, and professionally accountable to the Medical Director. The successful candidate will be expected to agree a formal job plan with the Clinical Lead, Service Manager, and Medical Director, indicating the number of programmed activities within 1 month of taking up the post.

The post-holder will also be expected to cross-cover essential services when colleagues are on leave.

  • Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent on a part-time or flexible basis), with at least two years in a relevant specialty training programme or as a fixed-term specialty trainee; or equivalent experience and competencies.
  • Evidence of competence in robotic upper tract surgery.
  • Wide experience in general urology.
