Job Details

This is a fixed-term post for 1 year, commencing August 2025. The Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit is the national tertiary referral centre for pulmonary hypertension in Scotland, with a significant research program. The successful candidate will participate in research leading to an MD or PhD degree.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Applicants must have the PACES examination.
  • Open to IMT3 or Specialist Registrar level doctors seeking 2-3 years of research or a break in training.
  • This post is outside the MTAS process.
Responsibilities
  • Care for inpatients and outpatients with pulmonary hypertension.
  • Become competent in right heart catheterisation, pulmonary angiography, and pulmonary vasodilator studies.
  • Participate in respiratory or cardiac medicine training programs in the West of Scotland.
