This post is for 6 to 12 months.

Main duties of the job

ACCESS is the London regional adult critical care transfer service committed to ensuring the secure, reliable, compassionate, and proficient transfer of critically ill patients throughout the capital. Our operations are carried out in collaboration with the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS), the London integrated commissioning boards and associated critical care networks to provide a transfer service for critically ill patients throughout London 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Transfer teams are currently operational within the four geographical sectors of London, operating under the oversight of Bart's Health, as the host trust. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in any of the four geographical sectors, based on their individual requirements, objectives, and preferences. The ACCESS Team includes one transfer doctor, one transfer practitioner, and two LAS crew, all led by two Duty Consultants who provide close support and expertise each day.
