To provide excellent medical care to those living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. All staff will undertake safeguarding training and adhere to safeguarding policies, in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Main duties of the job

We have an established medical team with links to Salford Royal, Manchester, and Stockport Foundation Trusts. We provide medical care to 36 beds across two sites and support outpatient and advice services. We are developing our medical workforce and have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Fellow.

This role involves delivering holistic care, supporting audits and quality improvement activities, primarily based at Heald Green, with occasional cross-site work.

Job responsibilities

The Clinical Fellow will:

  • Maintain high standards of medical care
  • Assist in daily management of inpatient care, including procedures
  • Undertake assessments using electronic records with supervision
  • Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team activities
  • Support medical assessments at the Being You Centre
  • Engage in education, audit, research, and CPD activities
  • Provide advice to primary care teams and participate in on-call duties
Person Specification

Experience and qualifications include:

  • Full GMC registration
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Broad clinical experience, including oncology, elderly care, or general medicine
  • Valid UK driving licence
Additional requirements

This role is subject to a DBS check and requires current UK professional registration.
