Job Title: Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine
Salary: NHS Specialty Registrar pay scale £45504 - £71550 per annum (dependent on experience, pro rata for part-time) plus (if applicable) 20% on-call banding.
Hours: 24 - 40 hours per week. On-call commitment (if applicable) entails 1 in 8 weekends (9 am-3 pm Sat and Sun), 1 in 10 Tues/Thurs overnight on call (approximately one overnight every 5 weeks) and approximately 1 x 5-6 slot per week
Contract: Fixed Term for 6 or 12 months
Interview Date: 30th June 2025 or 2nd July 2025 - tbc
Start date: 6th August 2025
We are delighted to be in a position to offer up to 3 clinical fellow posts, starting in August. These posts offer successful applicants a wide range of experience in palliative medicine. In collaboration with medical colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team, the postholders will play an important role in the delivery of medical care to inpatients in both our specialist and intermediate care wards. Depending on their experience, postholders will also have opportunities to be involved in the delivery of community services (including virtual beds) and gain experience in the duty doctor role. In addition to clinical care, provision will be made for supporting professional activities (SPA) to enable postholders to participate in training and education, activities related to maintaining clinical excellence within the service and continued professional development. These jobs are of interest to junior doctors keen to establish a career in this field.
