Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Obesity/CEW

Join to apply for the Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Obesity/CEW role at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust

Position Details: 4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants

This is a full-time (0.8 WTE) clinical fellowship starting in September 2025, with an initial 6-month fixed term and potential extension. The role involves working within the NHS England commissioned multidisciplinary service for children and young people with complications related to excess weight (CEW). The post is based at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, serving BNSSG and supporting regional spoke centres via virtual MDTs.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing children and adolescents with severe obesity-related medical complications alongside other specialties.
  2. Formulating clinical pathways and providing clinical queries support.
  3. Opportunities to gain experience in clinical endocrinology/diabetes, inpatient, day case, and outpatient care.
  4. Participation in clinical projects and research activities.

This role does not involve out-of-hours on-call or general paediatric rota commitments. It may also be suitable for those seeking out-of-programme experience in tertiary Endocrinology.
