The neonatal service operates a two-tier rota during daytime hours until 9pm. The successful applicant will work on the junior tier, supervised by the consultant, which includes clinical fellows and ANNPs. Additional cover is provided by Wessex paediatrics trainees (ST4-8) for neonatal emergencies overnight and on weekends.
There will be opportunities for skill development and project work in neurodevelopment, neonatal cardiology, teaching, service development, and research.
The department is well respected, with a high standard of care, achieving four 'Good' and one 'Outstanding' ratings in the last CQC inspection. It is a friendly and supportive environment within the excellent Wessex paediatric region.
The hospital is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, with easy access to countryside and coastal areas. It has excellent rail and road links to major cities.
