This post provides sub-specialty experience in Interstitial Lung Disease, suitable for a Respiratory trainee as out-of-programme experience during specialist training or post-CCT experience. Based at the Oxford Centre for Respiratory Medicine, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Oxford ILD Service is a regional specialist and anti-fibrotic prescribing centre, delivering comprehensive care to Oxfordshire and Thames Valley. The post involves key roles in patient care, diagnosis, and supporting clinical and administrative responsibilities, with opportunities for departmental education and research involvement.
Main duties include supporting the ILD service under supervision, participating in clinical meetings, and research projects relevant to ILD. The role is primarily based in Respiratory Medicine outpatient clinics at the Churchill Hospital, with contributions to the respiratory ward rota at JR site and night care duties. The team is experienced and involved in national and international ILD research and conferences.
Working for our organization, you'll join a dedicated ILD team comprising consultants, nurses, pharmacists, coordinators, and support staff, with access to radiologists, pathologists, rheumatologists, thoracic surgeons, community nurses, physiotherapists, and other specialists, providing comprehensive ILD care and support services.
