We are pleased to invite applications from motivated anaesthetists to join our supportive and forward-thinking team at Ipswich Hospital, part of the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT).
This is an excellent opportunity for anaesthetists with at least three years of anaesthetic experience, who have demonstrable competencies in theatre anaesthesia, obstetrics, and intensive care medicine. The post is ideally suited to those at the transitional stage between Stage 1 and Stage 2 of anaesthetic training.
You will join a full-shift rota alongside deanery trainees and specialty doctors, covering a range of shifts including days, nights, long days, and weekends. Out-of-hours responsibilities include cover for theatres, obstetrics, and intensive care, depending on your skills and experience.
Full induction and competency assessment will take place before any unsupervised on-call duties.

Youll have flexibility to pursue a clinical or non-clinical specialist interest, with support from experienced consultants and mentors, a dedicated educational supervisor will be appointed to guide you.
