A leading NHS teaching trust is seeking a Fellow in Anaesthesia to provide perioperative care and participate in rotational duties across several hospitals. Candidates should have at least three years' anaesthetic training and be familiar with the demands of a large teaching hospital. This is a great opportunity to work with a friendly, supportive group of anaesthetists, which is part of the wider Nuffield Department of Anaesthesia, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
You will gain high-quality experience and have opportunities to work alongside senior consultants, anaesthetising patients across all sites covering a number of specialties. You must be familiar with the demands of a large UK teaching hospital anaesthetic department.
The postholders will provide elective and emergency anaesthesia to adults and children and be part of the hospital cardiac arrest team as part of the resident rota. Postholders will take part in appropriate resident rotas on the Oxford sites, which may include CEPOD and obstetric anaesthesia, alongside gaining experience providing anaesthesia for a variety of specialties offered at OUH. Training and professional development will be tailored to the experience and needs of the postholder, and appropriate supervision is provided at all times.
The successful candidate will have completed at least three years' training in anaesthesia and intensive care and should hold the primary FRCA or equivalent.

The Horton General Hospital, Banbury - Day Surgery (including paediatrics) and Trauma
The John Radcliffe Hospital - Trauma, Neuro, Obstetrics, Vascular, Airway, Plastics, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, and Intensive Care
The Churchill Hospital - Transplant, Oncology, Airway, and Intensive Care
The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre
The work schedule is resident, full shift 1:8 on call rota (pro rata), at the Horton General Hospital, Banbury and at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. At Banbury, this is a middle grade rota providing support to the trauma theatre and critical care / airway support to the rest of the hospital.

The post-holder will participate in clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk management, quality improvement, and any other clinical governance activities as required by the Trust, Health Authorities, and external accrediting bodies.
