Modality LLP is a large-scale provider of Specialist NHS Services, renowned for its innovative approach to delivering efficient pathways for patients requiring specialist care, leading to high quality patient outcomes. We work in partnership with a number of hospitals across the country to collaboratively redesign outpatient services with more care being delivered in community settings.

We are looking to expand our specialist team by recruiting a Clinical Fellow GP within our Cardiology service. We are seeking dedicated postholders to join our team and who can display our CARE values: Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. Salary for this role is £10,250 per session.

This job is suitable for individuals who have a passion for working in an agile manner ensuring a high-quality service is provided. The postholders will be committed to undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, within the bounds of their own competence.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Fellows will be supported to undertake a postgraduate specialist diploma qualification together with protected time. They will build a portfolio of evidence including in the day-to-day assessment, management, monitoring and follow up of patients referred to the service. The Clinical Fellow will support continuous improvement of standards and the quality of patient care delivered through the service, through audits, MDTs, research, and other modalities.

Please note that we require Clinical Fellows to sign up to a 2-year commitment contract with Modality LLP in order to be eligible for these roles. The 2-year commitment contract requires candidates to repay costs associated with the Clinical Fellowship programme i.e. education and training costs, should they leave the organisation within 2 years post-completion of the clinical fellowship.

  • Over 15 years of experience of delivering community outpatient services
  • Contracts with ICBs and hospital providers
  • A diverse clinical workforce of consultants, GPs with extended roles, specialist nurses and allied health professionals
  • Delivery of over 120,000 patient consultations per year
  • Delivery of 1st consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral from a choice of community locations, 7 days per week

Qualifications
  • Professional GMC registration and appropriate qualifications.
  • Specialist diploma within specialty area.
  • Experience of working within community/secondary care.
  • A strong understanding and experience of out of hospital care/community specialist services.
  • Experience of working between primary and secondary care settings.
  • Full driving licence and the ability to travel between service locations.
