Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neonatal Nurse qualified in Neonatal speciality to join our practice development team. This role involves working in a level 2 Neonatal Unit (NNU) and Transitional Care Unit (TCU) based in the postnatal ward.

If you are an experienced neonatal nurse looking to develop your skills in clinical teaching, practice development, and leadership, we offer a supportive environment to help you grow both clinically and operationally. We provide tailored professional development, lead various projects and audits, and offer opportunities for short courses and study days.

Main duties of the job
  • Independently facilitate and mentor new staff and students in the Neonatal Unit, ensuring high clinical standards.
  • Support the Practice Development Nurses in organizing and planning clinical placements and study days.
  • Lead ward activities as an effective team member and role model.
  • Take responsibility as the primary care provider for a designated group of patients, working independently in assessment and care planning.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality nursing care aligned with the trust’s mission and standards.
  • Work within professional and trust policies and guidelines.
