Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to support patient care and department operations. This role involves implementing initial fitness assessments, adapting exercise regimens, and documenting outcomes in a clinical setting.

The position requires a degree in exercise physiology, at least one year in a clinical environment, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ACLS certification is preferred and ACLS may be required for some roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program with a degree in exercise physiology.
• Minimum one year of experience in a clinical medical environment.
• Computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in use with exercise equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties related to patient care as directed by therapist including safe transfers, vital signs, setup of treatment areas and equipment.
• Leads individual or group exercise activities for wellness/maintenance clients and documents sessions.
• Cleans and maintains treatment areas, inventory, and equipment; reports hazards.
• Supports scheduling, patient payments, and marketing activities to promote health and wellness.
• Adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
