Specific Responsibilities: Duties you will be expected to assist with include routine maintenance, repair and calibration of low risk medical equipment. The role will include administration duties required for these processes in line with the Trust policies and procedures. There is frequent lifting and handling of equipment, tools, test equipment and components, so manual dexterity, involving good eye to hand coordination is essential. Practice appropriate workshop techniques so that the department is clean and tidy to ensure a safe working environment for all staff Have good interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow detailed instructions to work accurately. Help support and cover the Medical Equipment Library as and when required carrying out the core duties of the role. Responsible for safe use of medical equipment and devices. Update medical device equipment records using departmental database and specific software.
Evaluates medical equipment and devices; acceptance testing. Follows departmental procedures; advice available from senior engineers and managers. Please see attached job description for further information
