The post-holder will be a member of a team providing Clinical Engineering Services for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and other Locations. These Services cover the management of medical devices within the Trust and the maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
Safety and good working practices are an essential component to the duties which are extremely specialised and non-routine and demand a high level of responsibility and independent judgement.
The Clinical Engineering service is working within a quality system ISO9001
Planned preventive maintenance and calibration of a wide range of equipment.
Planning and prioritising of own workloads allocated by the Team Leaders.
Working in the close proximity to patients most days.
Ability to work on heavy pieces of equipment where physical effort could be demanded.
Fault finding and repair on complex medical equipment.

To keep equipment stock spares at correct level as directed by the Team Leaders. These will require re-ordering when stocks are low.
To work flexibly when required meeting the requirements of the service.
To perform such duties at a comparable level of responsibilities, as may normally be agreed with the job holder.
To travel to other hospitals when necessary in the execution of their work to which end a driving licence holder is desirable
