Aboutthe Role
Asa Senior Clinical Educator, you will:
Lead on the design, delivery andevaluation of clinical education programmes for nursing and AHP staff.
Support staff development throughpreceptorship, clinical supervision, and mentorship.
Collaborate across professionalboundaries to improve care quality and patient outcomes.
Contribute to the strategicdirection of the CSU through workforce development, quality improvement andservice innovation.
Provide leadership and oversight tojunior staff, and deputise for the Matron where required.

Experience: Substantial post-registration experienceincluding in a Band 7, 6 or equivalent leadership role.
Relevant clinical experience(essential).
A track record of collaborativeworking with multidisciplinary teams.

. JOBDIMENSION
Therole of the Senior Clinical Educator Post is essential for the organisationto ensure nurses and or ODPs work within the governing standards set byprofessional and regulatory bodies. The job holder will support, educate anddevelop registered and unregistered staff in their clinical role andcompetency, to meet the standards required to deliver high quality evidencebased care for service users.
Thejob holder will deliver education on a Trust wide basis which impacts on awide range of clinical areas and departments. The post holder will contributeto the planning, implementation and evaluation of education and training ofregistered and unregistered workforce. They will work in collaboration withthe senior management team to maintain and project the vision and objectivesof the service and ensure that they are embedded in practice. They willidentify and celebrate good practice and share with local and Trust teams.The post holder will lead by example, will be responsible for disseminatinggood practice and actively challenging assumptions, practice and performancewhere appropriate.

Qualification
Registered Nurse (RN Adult foradult clinical areas or RN Child for childrens areas )or OperatingDepartment Practitioner
Relevant teaching and assessingqualification (essential)
Masters degree or post graduatelevel development equivalent to a masters
Experience
Significant and recent relevantclinical experience.
Clinical experience within thespeciality (essential )
Significant post registrationexperience in a junior leadership role eg Band 6 or equivalent
Experience of clinical audit andstandard setting
Working with a wide range ofprofessionals including medical, nursing and management colleagues
Evidence of service development andor facilitation of change management
Budgetary management experience(desirable)
Understanding of performancemanagement strategies
Significant experience within aleadership position
