Job Overview

An exciting 12-month secondment opportunity has arisen at Scarborough Teaching Hospital for a Band 6 Clinical Educator within our Education and Development team. We seek a motivated, dynamic practitioner with clinical and teaching experience to support the education and development of theatre/PACU teams.

You will contribute to devising, delivering, and evaluating education and competency-based training programs, supporting clinical practice education, training, and team collaboration across the hospital sites.

Main Duties

• Develop and deliver clinical skills training across Theatre and PACU settings using diverse media and simulation.
• Plan and organize training equipment, book training sessions, and coordinate venues with colleagues.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Training

• Registered Nurse with NMC or ODP with HCPC registration
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Willingness to undergo necessary training
• Practice Assessor or Mentor
• Experience in education and training in clinical areas
• Experience in clinical audit and standard setting

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum 3 years Clinical Theatre experience
• Interest in Education
• Knowledge of current theatre issues and developments
• Leadership experience
• Excellent communication skills
