Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Educator for paediatric haematology and oncology on a maternity cover secondment. The role focuses on teaching, staff development and ensuring high standards of patient care within the unit.

You will support the development of staff competencies, coordinate training across teams, and work with the Practice Development team to deliver orientation and education for Children’s Services.

Qualifications

• Formal or informal teaching experience across staff groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to plan and implement education strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education for paediatric haematology/oncology staff.
• Develop and deliver mandatory training and education packages.
• Promote high standards of patient care and safety across the unit.
• Coordinate daily allocation of work with team leaders and clinical leads.
• Support staff to gain competencies in oral, IV drug and chemotherapy administration.
