A leading healthcare provider in Harrogate is seeking a Clinical Educator Midwife to enhance the quality and safety of midwifery care. This role will involve providing clinical support, ensuring adherence to maternity guidelines, and developing educational programs in response to training needs. Candidates should be dynamic leaders with extensive midwifery experience and a commitment to improving practice in maternity services.
Job summary
The Clinical Educator Midwife will support the Practice Development Midwives in the planning and organisation of specific educational programmes in response to the Maternity Services training needs analysis (TNA), this will encompass local and national recommendations.
The role also has a particular focus on quality and safety providing expert clinical support and advice that will enhance care whilst acting as a champion of best practice to support the midwifery, support worker and medical team. This ensure that all members of the multi-disciplinary team both understand and adhere to maternity specific and Trust guidelines. The post holder will assist in the on-going development of a positive midwifery culture by raising awareness of the role of the midwife.
The post holder will be part of the Professional Development Midwives team and will have excellent clinical, educational and leadership skills to be able to promote high standards of evidence based care. The post holder also must have the ability and confidence to support and challenge in a non-judgemental way.
