The EOC Education and Development Team are looking for enthusiastic and suitably experienced colleagues to join us as a CCC Clinical Auditor/Educator.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your 111 or 999 clinical experience to provide training and mentorship across the SCAS organisation. In this role, you will be supporting other practitioners within the CCC environment and helping them to develop skills and confidence. You will develop their systems knowledge as well as enhancing their critical thinking and clinical judgement skills.

This is a vital role as it helps to maintain our quality standards and ensures we reach our performance targets.

This role can be based at Southern House or Northern House with the flexibility of up to 50% home working.

Main duties of the job
  • As a Clinical Trainer within South Central Ambulance Service you will be required to work within the training team to ensure the effective provision of training and mentorship across the organisation. You will need to be motivated and express a positive attitude towards the You will address any issues and concerns that may inhibit staff from achieving both their personal and organisational goals.
  • To provide expert systems knowledge and training, including Clinical and Non- Clinical Triage systems across 111 and 999 .
  • To maintain and ensure clinical safety and maintenance of a high quality service.
  • To ensure that the communications link and software is fully understood by all staff working within the service and that technical failure can be recognised and appropriately reported.
  • To support service delivery targets, clinical indicators, and national and locally negotiated targets, through performance review, audit and training.
  • To actively participate in regular call monitoring and quality of calls to include call review, self-reflection and feedback to staff.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of emergency, urgent care and non-emergency healthcare services, along with commercial logistics services.

  • A recognised professional qualification – eg: registered general nurse, ECP or Paramedic
  • Valid registration with NMC/HPC
  • Accredited CFH Pathways Trainer Certificate – or the willingness to undertake this.
  • Experience in a training environment
  • Recent clinical experience
  • Extensive understanding of IT systems used in CCC

Qualifications
