Job description

Are you an experienced Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon Specialist looking for your next leadership role?

As Clinical Director at frank. Pet Surgeons, you will play a key role in mentoring and coaching our veterinary team while maintaining a hands-on approach to clinical work. You will have dedicated clinical time to work up cases, perform surgeries, and provide excellent patient care, alongside protected time for your leadership responsibilities.

As a site entirely dedicated to surgery and orthopaedics, this is a rare chance to shape and expand a surgical service at the forefront of veterinary orthopaedics. You will help inspire the team to deliver the most advanced techniques and the highest standards of patient care.

Become a part of our exceptional Specialist-led surgical team

At frank. Pet Surgeons, we handle a diverse range of intriguing orthopaedic cases, including complex fractures, total hip replacement, angular limb deformities, and advanced spinal and soft tissue surgeries.

This role offers you the chance to fully immerse yourself in orthopaedics, working within a collaborative team that is dedicated exclusively to surgical excellence.

As part of our Specialist-led team, you will lead 4 Surgeons (2 Specialists) and 3 Surgical Interns.

Work with cutting-edge facilities

It is our mission to make specialist surgical care more accessible. Our specialist surgical teams are up to date with the latest surgical techniques, and routinely carry out highly complex surgeries, enabling us to confidently take on the most challenging cases. Everything we do is backed up by a unique Surgical Complications Guarantee that covers any complications arising from surgery within 6 months of the procedure. We have fixed price packages for all our procedures.

frank. Pet surgeons is a leading and progressive veterinary clinic dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are located on the Orbital Industry Park, just off junction 4 of the M621 and 1.3 miles from Leeds train station. Our purpose-built practice houses 2 fully equipped operating theatres, CT, digital radiography, arthroscopy, ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring equipment, separate dog and cat wards, and in-house laboratory.

With a team of skilled veterinary surgeons and support staff, we strive to create a compassionate and nurturing environment for both our patients and their owners. As a well-established practice, we are committed to continuous learning and professional development. We have 4 Surgeons (2 Specialists), 1 Resident, 3 Surgical Interns, 15 RVNs, 5 ACAs, and 8 Support staff.

Working pattern

This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours over 4 days with a 1:3 on-call commitment.
