Job description
Overview

The successful candidate will provide clinical management leadership and set strategic direction within the directorate, in line with the Care Group's strategy, ensuring that high quality and timely care of patients remains the highest priority. The Clinical Director will work as part of a multidisciplinary directorate leadership team with responsibility for Clinical Governance within the Department and will contribute strategically as a member of the Trust's senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for performance delivery and performance management of medical staff, including job planning of clinicians.
  • Share responsibility for the Imaging budget and the efficient deployment of the Clinical Business Unit\'s resources with the Head of Operations and Head of Nursing.
  • Lead on productivity and efficiency of the department medical workforce and share responsibility for the productivity and efficiency of the department\'s other associated workforce members.
  • Work to develop and implement strategic and operational plans of the Department in line with the overall Care Group and Trust strategies.
  • Contribute strategically as a member of the Trust\'s senior management and attend the Trust leadership forums to provide information on the Department\'s performance.
