Job description

Clinical Director – North London

Shape the Future of Veterinary Leadership

No corporate red tape | People-First Culture | Growth-Focused Environment

We’re proud to be exclusively partnering with a forward-thinking independent veterinary group to appoint a Clinical Director for their beautiful North London clinic. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced vet and natural leader who wants to take ownership of a thriving site while still working primarily in a clinical role. It offers the best of both worlds: clinical fulfilment and true influence.

The Opportunity

As Clinical Director, you’ll spend around 80% of your time in clinical work, setting the standard for the practice while also driving the business forward through leadership, strategy, and team development.

You'll be supported by a highly engaged leadership team while retaining the autonomy to lead your clinic, shape its culture, and drive membership growth — a central part of their unique client model.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion clinical excellence through leadership, governance, and team collaboration.

Line-manage and support the vet team, Nursing Director, and Practice Director.

Oversee and influence budget planning and business performance, especially time to break even.

Lead a culture of wellbeing, inclusion, and clinical innovation.

Collaborate on membership growth, marketing, and community engagement.

Promote clear, empathetic client communication and a gold-standard care experience.

Be a visible advocate for the brand — internally and across the wider veterinary community.

About You:

A highly experienced small animal vet, confident in both clinical delivery and leadership.

Passionate about building team culture, mentoring others, and delivering structured improvement.

Business-aware and comfortable working to KPIs and financial targets.

A strong communicator who can guide, support, and inspire.

Motivated by autonomy, but values collaboration and shared goals.

The Package:

Competitive salary, tailored to experience and responsibility

25 days holiday, plus your birthday off

Salary sacrifice pension scheme

Supportive leadership team focused on your development

Genuine work-life balance — no OOH

Regular team socials and community events

A stunning clinic environment with a progressive caseload and experienced colleagues
