Main duties of the job

We are seeking applications for the role of ClinicalDirector General Adult Community Services within Devon Partnership NHSTrust. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to advancetheir career in operational or senior management. You will lead and manage acomplex, diverse Directorate, inspiring a geographically dispersed,multi-disciplinary workforce.

As Clinical Director, you will work alongside theDirectorate Manager, ensuring that together, you deliver the very best servicesto our Service Users.

Experience
  • Substantial senior experience in the delivery of Mental Health and/or related healthcare services demonstrating effective track record of managing complex services and large budgets. Substantial experience of senior public sector management (NHS and/or Local Government) demonstrating effective track record of managing complex services and large budgets. Experience of senior management in another service sector e.g. Commercial or Charitable
Knowledge
  • Detailed working knowledge of the NHS and Local Government policies relating to Mental Health together with good knowledge of principal policy and financial determinants.
  • Detailed Knowledge of the professional/revalidation requirements for the professional group.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Recovery approach.
  • Good working knowledge of other healthcare and public service Sectors especially those relating to learning disability, criminal justice and childrens services Good working knowledge of healthcare markets and market determinants.
Qualifications
  • Educated to doctorate level or equivalent experience/competence. Evidence of Continued Professional Development

  • Communication Skills Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and confidently to range of staff and audiences.
